Kristi Reed, Director of Choirs at Reynoldsburg High School Mrs. Kristi Reed attended The Ohio State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and a Master of Music Degree. While at OSU, she sang with the Women's Glee Club, Gospel Choir, Symphonic Choir, and Chorale. A piano major, Mrs. Reed has accompanied individuals and choirs since the age of 14, and spent 30 years as a church organist, choir director, and music director. Mrs. Reed's teaching career began at Logan High School and Logan-Hocking Middle School, where she taught choir for 5 years before moving to Reynoldsburg City Schools in 2002. Starting as an elementary music teacher in Reynoldsburg at Herbert Mills, French Run, and Taylor Road Elementaries, Mrs. Reed has been teaching at the high school and middle/junior high levels since 2009, and is currently the Choir Director for both Reynoldsburg High School campuses. Mrs. Reed is also director of the Grove City Chamber Singers adult community choir, joining the group in 2000. Her professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, Ohio Music Education Association, Ohio Education Association, American Choral Directors Association, and the Ohio Choral Directors Association. In her free time, Mrs. Reed enjoys spending time with her husband Doug, rescue calico cat Lucy, and family and friends. She spends summers flower gardening, paper crafting beautiful cards, and traveling.
Emma Barr, Director of Choirs at Baldwin and Hannah Ashton Mrs. Emma Barr attended Morehead State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. While in college, she sang with the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and OperaWorks. Mrs. Barr has been in choir since she was in 7th grade and has been teaching for 7 years. She has taught grades K-12 at various points in her career and has been in the Reynoldsburg District for 3 years. Her professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, Ohio Music Education Association, and the Ohio Education Association. Outside of teaching, Mrs. Barr enjoys spending time with her husband John and her family and friends, reading, exercising, cooking, traveling, and being around her pets :).
Eric Neuenschwander, Director of Choirs at Waggoner Middle and Junior High Eric Neuenschwander attended the Ohio State University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Music Education. While at OSU, Mr. Neuenschwander performed with The Chorale, Symphonic Choir, The Statesmen, and was the recipient of the James Gallagher Spirit Award for his work with The Ohio State University Men's Glee Club. He co-founded and music directed the accapella group Majors & minors along with discovering a love of musical theatre with Off the Lake Productions. He has spent the last seven seasons as an accapella judge for The International Championship of College/High School Accaplla with Varsity Vocals. This year marks Mr. Neuenschwander's 9th year of teaching and his second in Reynoldsburg. He previously taught high school choir at both Eastmoor Academy and Xenia High School. He continues to perform both on stage and in the pit for various local community theatre productions including a Central Ohio Theatre Roundtable and Jebby Nominated performance as William Barfée in Hilliard Arts Council's production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He is also a guest performer at The Black Box Improv in Dayton Ohio and frequent collaborator with #Hashtag Comedy's bi-monthly show TBD: The Improvised Musical. Email: [email protected]
